You graduate in computer science and discover that the work that you expect there…

For years there was talk of professional achievement in information technology and higher educational institutions were born in Italy with the aim of preparing students access to university. For some decades in Italy we still talk about the world of computing as the new frontier of work only to discover that the real professional opportunities there.

Because there is not? AND’ true or false?

For me it is true because the Italian market is not able to accommodate the entire body of graduates in computer science as well as the entrepreneurial crisis, I mean the criinformatica1is management of entrepreneurs, There is a saturated market and ailing recruitment unless related to a project. Generally these days those who graduated in computer science to make ends mostly the developer of software that in my opinion detract from the purpose of the degree as to develop not need to be so. Finally, do not make it long cite another example that disgusts me, an example is the level of the topics on development languages treated in various universities. We study without the use of IDE and the language versions years behind those in the market at that moment, not to say that the University will speak “almost exclusively” JAVA.

So if you are majoring in computer science you do not expect them out there is someone who trembles to hire you and give you adequate stipendo. You have the choice to go outside Italy, or if you are lucky dirigerai some project and they will have less to do the software developer 600 Euros per month. another tip, fossilizzarti not only on the topics covered at the university, also looks at the world and you'll find out many other things that the teachers did not tell you, if no risks to the degree you will have the piece of paper but know arguments out of date by years…

Good luck…

    Hello,

    In particular:

Non sembrerebbero esserci, in breve, more geeks who, in addition to graduation, actually they know what they are dealing.

    – Difficulty in assessing: I never piegherò to make technical test or similar uselessness, but either way it's hard to figure out who has the necessary characteristics and / or the ability to grow. Knowing how to grow is a state of mind, unfortunately or fortunately, and not one comparable skills through study.

    – Everyone must know do all: This is a problem “hand holding” typically Italian… I manager (nontechnical) They do not understand that you can not recycle the various figures at random without a minimum lag of time for training and to understand the needs of a project that maybe differs to 100% the mode by which until recently had “accustomed” to use.

    – Differentiation of Candidates: il 90% the curriculum are “fotocopieuno dell’altro.
